John Keller – Head Golf
Professional

John was born in
Statesville, North Carolina and was raised in Pompano Beach,
Florida. Shortly after graduating from The University of
Alabama, John played professional golf on the Florida mini tour
circuit. After one year of tournament golf, John returned to
Pompano Beach and went to work as an Assistant Golf Professional
at The Pompano Beach Golf Course. It was in Pompano that John
and his wife Barbara were married in 1985.
John became a member of The
PGA of America in 1987. From 1989-1992 John and Barbara divided
their time between Linville Golf Club, Linville, North Carolina,
and The Broken Sound Club, Boca Raton, Florida. It was at
Broken Sound that John had the good fortune to enhance his
teaching skills working with noted Teaching Professional, Peter
Kostis.
John accepted his first Head
Professional position in 1995 at Blue Ridge Country Club located
just outside of Linville Falls, North Carolina. In 1999 John
and Barbara moved to Kiawah Island, South Carolina where John
served as the Senior Assistant at The Kiawah Island Club’s River
Course.
John
joined The Reserve Club team as Head Golf Professional in
September of 2004. “We have the opportunity to become one of
the premier private clubs in the South. It is exciting to be
involved at this stage of The Reserve Club’s development. I
look forward to coming to work each day and challenging myself
and the golf staff to doing a better job than we did the day
before.”
